Course Requirements

Experience Required

1000 nautical miles

Including at least 400 miles on yachts over 25 feet

Prior Certification

ISSA Coastal Skipper

At least 10 days living on board in any capacity

Minimum Age

18 years old

Boat's Construction

  • Knows function and working of a power-boat
  • Open up, dips
  • Can set up the engine and fuel tanks
  • Loading and balancing
  • Trim tabs
  • Spare's box
  • Charge procedures of cooling system
  • Charge procedures of fuel lines
  • Change procedures for batteries
  • Use air cooling fan/blower
  • Check essential elements for working inboard and outboard engines and avoiding damage in emergency situations when engine is working
  • Knows stopping mechanisms of yacht's
  • Stop's engine
  • Stopping propeller

Line and Spring Handling

  • Can combine the lines of the power boat deferment elements

Handling Fenders
