Anchorages of Samaná
A short guide to the anchorages, ashore moments, and best sailing windows for each coast reachable from our home base at Marina Puerto Bahía, on the south-east coast of Samaná.
Every coast within a day's sail
Samaná packs an extraordinary range into a single island — white-sand beaches, an uninhabited island offshore, sea caves and world-class dive reefs, and a UNESCO World Heritage Dominican Caribbean capital — each a short sail from the next. From our home base at Marina Puerto Bahía, every coast is reachable as a day charter or as a stop on a week-long private voyage through Samaná and the neighbouring Samaná Bay. And because the island lies in our winter sailing season, we sail reliably all year.
