Cap II · Flying Wing

An Antigua and Barbuda week is the simplest signature route we run. Seven nights, two islands, and the kind of unhurried pace that's hard to find on a longer cruise. Three nights based around Antigua — English Harbour, the leeward bays, Falmouth — followed by two nights at anchor off Barbuda's pink-sand coast, then back south for the final two nights to wrap up.

The week is suited to guests who want depth over distance. Antigua alone has more anchorages than most week-long charters cover; Barbuda is empty enough to feel private. Daily passages are short — never more than 30 nautical miles — leaving long mornings and afternoons at anchor.

Charter rates start at $11,750 all-inclusive aboard Flying Wing for parties of up to eight. Cap II is available for the week from $32,500 for parties of up to ten. Both rates include the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring, marina fees, and full provisioning of fresh food and drinks. Restaurant nights at Pillars, Catherine's Café, or Cloggy's are arranged on request.

Highlights of this charter

English Harbour

UNESCO Georgian dockyard, Pillars Restaurant, and Sunday-evening Shirley Heights barbecue. The traditional opening night of any Antigua week.

Hermitage Bay & Deep Bay

Two of Antigua's quietest leeward anchorages — pink-tinged sand, no road access at Hermitage, and the Andes wreck snorkel at Deep Bay.

Two nights off Barbuda

Anchor in 8 ft of clear water off Low Bay, walk the seventeen-mile pink-sand beach, take a local guide across the lagoon to the frigate-bird sanctuary.

Carlisle Bay & the south coast

Quiet windward-side anchorages on the way back — Carlisle Bay, Indian Creek, Cades Reef snorkelling, sunset back at Falmouth.

Sailing this route with RexSailing

Local cruising, no long passages

Daily legs are 15-30 nm — guests sail, but the week is built around anchorages, not passages. Suited to first-time charterers and to families.

Two distinct islands

Antigua's developed beaches and harbours, then the contrast of Barbuda's emptiness. The week tells two different stories.

All-inclusive

Yacht, crew, food, drinks, mooring, marina fees. Restaurant nights are billed at end-of-charter cost. No surprise extras.

Before you enquire

What does a typical week look like?

Day 1: arrive Antigua, board at Jolly Harbour or English Harbour. Days 2-3: leeward coast — Hermitage, Deep Bay. Day 4-5: passage to Barbuda, two nights at anchor off the pink sand. Day 6: south back to Antigua. Day 7: Carlisle Bay, sunset back to base. Day 8: disembark.

How does the route change with weather?

The Antigua-Barbuda passage is exposed in the right wind direction — usually a comfortable beam reach. In particularly windy weeks the captain may shift the order, ending in Barbuda with the wind on the way home rather than the way out.

Can we extend the week?

Yes — the natural extensions are St. Kitts and Nevis to the west, or Guadeloupe and the Saintes to the south. Both add an overnight passage and an extra island. We discuss extension options when shaping the proposal.

Is this suited to families?

Particularly so. The short daily passages, the warm sheltered water, and the empty beaches all work for families with children. We carry paddleboards, snorkel gear, and a tender.

Antigua and Barbuda is the easiest week to recommend — short passages, empty anchorages, two islands that feel different. Tell us your dates and party size and we will hold the boat while we shape the rest.
