Curaçao is the most dependable cruising ground in the southern Caribbean — a Dutch constituent country roughly 65 km off the coast of Venezuela, sitting safely below the Atlantic hurricane belt, with steady easterly trade winds and a long, sheltered leeward coast of clear water and white beaches. We base our fleet at Spanish Water (Spaanse Water), the great protected lagoon on the south-east coast, with everything worth sailing to within a comfortable day's reach: Caracas Bay and the Tugboat wreck (~2 nm), Jan Thiel (~4 nm), UNESCO-listed Willemstad (~7 nm), Playa Porto Mari (~14 nm), Klein Curaçao (~16 nm offshore), and Westpunt with the Blue Room cave (~28 nm).
From Spanish Water we operate three classic sailing yachts — Cap II, a 77-foot CNB flagship, Flying Wing, a 75-foot sister yacht, and SISU, a 37-foot day-sailing yacht. All vessels are commercially surveyed, fully insured, and privately operated by their captains. Every charter is crewed, private, and shaped around the guests aboard.
Charter options are built around the length of stay and the yacht. Aboard Flying Wing — our competitively-priced 75 ft classic — single-day charters start at $1,595 and week-long voyages around Curaçao start from $11,750 all-inclusive. Aboard Cap II, the 77 ft CNB flagship, private day charters start at $2,950 and weeks from $32,500 — reserved for small parties who prefer the flagship. Aboard SISU, half-day sails start at $595 and full-day at $1,195. All rates include the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring, and full provisioning.
Highlights of this charter
Spanish Water, our home base
A fully protected natural lagoon on the south-east coast — flat water, customs and fuel close at hand, full provisioning nearby, and twenty to thirty minutes from Curaçao International Airport. The easiest boarding day in the southern Caribbean.
Three yachts, one home base
Cap II, Flying Wing, and SISU are all kept at Spanish Water between charters — never sub-chartered out of region. The yacht you book is the yacht you sail.
The whole leeward coast within a day
Caracas Bay (2 nm), Jan Thiel (4 nm), Willemstad (7 nm), Playa Porto Mari (14 nm), Klein Curaçao (16 nm offshore), and Westpunt (28 nm) — all accessible as day or overnight charters from Spanish Water.
Year-round trade winds, no hurricane shutdown
Curaçao lies below the Atlantic hurricane belt, so we sail reliably all twelve months of the year. Steady easterly trades of roughly 15–25 knots make for the most consistent sailing conditions in the Caribbean.

Commercially insured
All three yachts are commercially surveyed for charter with a recognised Caribbean underwriter and carry full liability cover.
Truly private
Every charter is by booking, never by the seat. No shared groups, no fixed itinerary — the yacht is yours for the duration.

Before you enquire
How do I get to the boat?
Most guests fly into Curaçao International Airport (Hato, CUR) — with direct connections from Amsterdam, Miami, New York, Toronto, and across Latin America — and we arrange a private transfer to Spanish Water, about twenty to thirty minutes by road. Guests already on the island are picked up quietly at the marina. Boarding the same day is the norm.
Are charters all-inclusive?
Yes. The published rate covers the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring fees, and full provisioning of fresh food and drinks throughout the charter. Optional add-ons (chef's tasting menus, special wine selections, scuba dive packages) are quoted separately.
What's the best time of year?
Any time. Curaçao sits below the hurricane belt and sails reliably all twelve months, with steady easterly trades and an arid, sunny climate. There is no hurricane-season shutdown — unlike the Windward Islands, we operate year-round. Winds are a touch fresher around the early months and gentlest in autumn.
Can we visit other islands?
Yes — Curaçao is the natural base for the ABC islands. Day charters work the leeward coast and offshore to Klein Curaçao; week-long charters can cross to Bonaire (~30 nm east) for the marine park and world-class diving, or make the longer down-island run to Aruba (~75–90 nm west). Each is a separate-island landfall, which we clear for you.
