Aboard

Cap II · Flying Wing

Spanish Water (Spaanse Water) is our home base — a large, fully enclosed natural lagoon on Curaçao's south-east coast, the most protected harbour on the island. From here the whole leeward coast is within an easy day: Caracas Bay and the Tugboat wreck (2 nm), Jan Thiel (4 nm), Willemstad (7 nm), Playa Porto Mari (14 nm), and Klein Curaçao (16 nm offshore). Flat water inside the lagoon, the open Caribbean a short reach beyond the entrance. No long deliveries. Long mornings at anchor.

We operate the same fleet from Spanish Water that we run as a single base — Cap II, the 77 ft CNB flagship, Flying Wing, the 75 ft sister yacht, and SISU, the 37 ft day-sailer. All charters are private, crewed, and shaped around the guests aboard. The lagoon's marinas — Curaçao Yacht Club, Seru Boca, and Santa Barbara — handle berthing, customs, and fuel, with provisioning a short drive away. We clear the lagoon early and keep guests in the clear water and quiet beaches down the coast.

Charter options are built around the length of stay and the yacht. Aboard Flying Wing — our competitively-priced 75 ft classic — single-day charters start at $1,595 and week-long voyages around Curaçao start from $11,750 all-inclusive. Aboard Cap II, the 77 ft CNB flagship, private day charters start at $2,950 and weeks from $32,500 — reserved for small parties who prefer the flagship. All rates include the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring, marina fees, and full provisioning.

Highlights of this charter

Spanish Water lagoon

A large, fully enclosed natural lagoon — flat water in any trade, marinas for berthing, customs and fuel close at hand, and full provisioning a short drive away at the head of the bay.

The leeward coast inside 16 nm

Caracas Bay, Jan Thiel, Willemstad, Playa Porto Mari, and Klein Curaçao — all reachable as half- or full-day sails. No long passage, no overnight delivery — just sailing.

Same fleet, single base

Cap II, Flying Wing, and SISU all live at Spanish Water year-round. The yacht you book is the yacht you sail — never sub-chartered out of region.

Easy provisioning

The lagoon's marinas, customs, fuel, and the supermarkets nearby make this the cleanest provisioning base on the coast, twenty to thirty minutes from the airport.

Local captains

Our crews know the leeward coast and run the Caracas Bay / leeward beaches / Klein Curaçao loop weekly all year. Local knowledge of every beach club and weather window is built in.

Truly private

Every charter is by booking, never by the seat. No shared groups, no fixed itinerary — the yacht is yours for the duration.

All-inclusive

The yacht, the crew, the food, the wine, the mooring, the marina fees, the customs. Restaurant bills ashore are billed at end-of-charter cost. No surprise extras.

Before you enquire

How do I get to the boat?

Most guests fly into Curaçao International Airport (Hato, CUR) (direct connections from Amsterdam, Miami, New York, Toronto, and across Latin America) and we arrange a private transfer to Spanish Water — about twenty to thirty minutes by road. Boarding the same day is the norm.

Are charters all-inclusive?

Yes. The published rate covers the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring, marina fees, and full provisioning of fresh food and drinks throughout the charter. Optional add-ons (chef's tasting menus, special wine selections, dive charters) are quoted separately.

Can we leave Spanish Water and visit other anchorages?

Yes — Spanish Water is the natural starting point. Day trips reach Caracas Bay, Jan Thiel, Willemstad, Playa Porto Mari, or Klein Curaçao. Week-long charters work up the leeward coast to Westpunt and the Blue Room, with crossings to Bonaire on the longer itineraries.

Isn't Curaçao outside the hurricane belt?

It is — and that is one of the reasons we base here. Spanish Water sits well below the Atlantic hurricane belt, so the lagoon is a safe, settled harbour and we sail reliably all twelve months. There is no hurricane-season shutdown: Spanish Water is where the voyage is organised, year-round.

Spanish Water is the natural home base for Curaçao's leeward coast. Tell us your dates and the yacht you have in mind, and we will hold the boat while we shape the rest.
