A small fleet of classic yachts, privately operated from Marina Puerto Bahía

The Fleet

RexSailing operates classic sailing yachts from Marina Puerto Bahía (Marina Puerto Bahía) — the most protected natural lagoon on Samaná's sheltered south-east coast. Cap II, a 77-foot CNB, is our flagship — built for unhurried island cruising, with the proportions and teak interior of a traditional bluewater yacht. Flying Wing, a 75-foot sister yacht, is the quieter alternative — a vessel for smaller parties who want the same standard of seamanship in a more intimate setting.

How we charter

Every charter is crewed, privately arranged, and shaped around the guests aboard. We sail from Marina Puerto Bahía to Bahía de San Lorenzo and the the bay reef, offshore to Cayo Levantado, up the leeward coast to Playa Playa Rincón, the Los Haitises, and Playa Frontón, into Santa Bárbara de Samaná, and across to Las Galeras. The best of Samaná is within a day's reach. Rates are confirmed individually based on your dates, party, and itinerary; we do not run shared departures.

Commercially surveyed

Both yachts are commercially surveyed for charter and fully insured with a recognised Caribbean underwriter.

Licensed captains

All captains hold international commercial endorsements and have decades of combined experience sailing these waters.

Local waters

Our crews live in Samaná and sail these waters December through May — the local knowledge is built in, not researched.
