Cap II · Flying Wing
Marina Puerto Bahía is our home base — a full-service marina on the north shore of Samaná Bay at Santa Bárbara de Samaná, the most polished base in the Dominican Republic. From here the whole bay is within an easy day: Cayo Levantado (4 nm), Bahía de San Lorenzo (10 nm), Los Haitises (12 nm), Las Galeras (12 nm), Playa Rincón (14 nm), and Playa Frontón (15 nm). Calm green water inside the bay, the open Atlantic at the east end. No long deliveries. Long mornings at anchor.
We operate the same fleet from Marina Puerto Bahía that we run as a single base — Cap II, the 77 ft CNB flagship, Flying Wing, the 75 ft sister yacht, and SISU, the 37 ft day-sailer. All charters are private, crewed, and shaped around the guests aboard. The marina handles berthing, customs and immigration on site, with 100 A power, fuel, water, and security at the dock. The boutique Bannister Hotel sits above the marina with restaurants, infinity pools, and a spa for the night before and the morning after.
Charter options are built around the length of stay and the yacht. Aboard Flying Wing — our competitively-priced 75 ft classic — single-day charters start at $1,595 and week-long voyages around Samaná Bay start from $11,750 all-inclusive. Aboard Cap II, the 77 ft CNB flagship, private day charters start at $2,950 and weeks from $32,500 — reserved for small parties who prefer the flagship. All rates include the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring, marina fees, and full provisioning.

Our crews know Samaná Bay and run the Cayo Levantado / Los Haitises / Playa Rincón loop weekly through the four-month season. Local knowledge of every anchorage, mangrove channel, and weather window is built in.
Truly private
Every charter is by booking, never by the seat. No shared groups, no fixed itinerary — the yacht is yours for the duration.

Before you enquire
How do I get to the boat?
Most international guests fly into Samaná El Catey International (AZS) — direct from Montreal (Air Canada year-round), Toronto (Air Canada seasonal), Quebec City (Air Transat), and Paris-Orly (Air Caraïbes) — and we arrange a private transfer to Marina Puerto Bahía, about forty-five minutes by road. There are no direct US flights to AZS; US guests typically connect via Santo Domingo (SDQ, ~2.5 hr drive) or Puerto Plata (POP, ~3 hr drive). Boarding the same day is the norm.
Are charters all-inclusive?
Yes. The published rate covers the yacht, crew, fuel, mooring, marina fees, and full provisioning of fresh food and drinks throughout the charter. Optional add-ons (chef's tasting menus, special wine selections, the permitted whale-watching transfer, the El Limón shore excursion) are quoted separately.
Can we leave the marina and visit other anchorages?
Yes — Marina Puerto Bahía is the natural starting point. Day trips reach Cayo Levantado, Bahía de San Lorenzo and the gateway into Los Haitises, Las Galeras, Playa Rincón, or Playa Frontón. Week-long charters work the whole bay across the seven days, with the El Limón waterfall as a shore-day excursion.
When do you operate from Marina Puerto Bahía?
We sail Samaná from December 1 through May 15 — a four-month winter season at the heart of the humpback calving grounds. Peak whale presence runs January 15 through March 31. We are closed June through November during Atlantic hurricane season; that is standard practice in the eastern Caribbean and we plan around it.
Marina Puerto Bahía is the natural home base for Samaná Bay. Tell us your dates and the yacht you have in mind, and we will hold the boat while we shape the rest.
