Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed when we say so in writing (email or WhatsApp) after your enquiry. Prices shown on the site are per berth or per day as labelled, and 'from' prices are starting points — the exact quote for your dates comes with the confirmation.
Weather, routes and safety
Sailing depends on the sea. The skipper has final authority over departure, route and any change made for safety — including on expedition legs, where ice and weather set the plan. If we cancel a trip for weather and cannot reschedule it, you get your payment back.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for arriving on time at the joining port (we recommend the day before for expedition legs), and for travel documents and insurance. Travel and, for expedition sailing, cold-water coverage are your responsibility and we strongly recommend both.
Courses and certification
ISSA certification is awarded on meeting the standard, which the instructor assesses — enrolment alone does not guarantee a pass. Course prerequisites listed on each course page must be genuinely met.
